Auto-correct

With the amount of artists that an event could have, making sure their names are correctly spelt and cased is important.
So please do try to make sure each name is correct.

When you're importing lots of data you might find that artist names are all in UPPERCASE or such, manually fixing this could be quite time consuming if some artists liKeTOuSE non-standard casing.

This is where auto-correct comes in.
It will take your list of artist names, check qplanner's data, and then ask 3rd party data sources if need be.

To respect 3rd party services qplanner intentionally pauses while running auto-correct.

Auto-correct is available via the ABC button in the Artists section title.

You'll see this warning about the duration it could take.

Firstly it'll check with qplanner directly.

Any names that aren't recognised will then be passed to a 3rd party to check.

Auto-correct has finished and is displaying information about what artists were not correctedAuto-correct has finished and is displaying information about what artists were not corrected

Any artist names that aren't recognised will be listed at the end.
These artists will also, automatically, have artist info turned off for them.
This just means that qplanner won't try to ask for information when the user views them.
You can enable it again for each artist from the Artists section, or via the Artist Information section in the Toolbox.

It's strongly recommended to double check the name of every artist after running auto-correct, on the off chance that it has incorrectly renamed an artist!
